Oregon Consular Corps International Studies Scholarships is now open for application. The Oregon Consular Corps provides two $2,500 scholarships to PSU International & Global Studies students each year.

About Oregon Consular Corps International Studies Scholarships

The Oregon Consular Corps (OCC) is dedicated to improving international relations, communications, understanding, and trade between nations, peoples, and regions. Because Oregon’s public institutions are underfunded, fewer young people in the state are able to pursue their educational and professional goals.

Members of the Oregon Consular Corps recall their own educational goals and aspirations, and they want more students in Oregon to have the chance to create a better world and a better life for themselves and others.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Must be US citizen, or legal resident, or international student on student visa
2. Completed a minimum of 8 credit hours INTL core coursework
3. Declared International & Global Studies major as of Fall 2021
4. Junior class standing or above (90+ credits) in good academic standing
5. Maintain full-time status (12 credits per term) during the 2021-2022 academic year (fall, winter, and spring)
6. Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.00

How To Apply

1. Download and fill out the OCC application form
2. A current resume/CV
3. A copy of your unofficial PSU transcript
4. Two letters of reference: At least one letter should be from a PSU faculty member or advisor with specific knowledge of your international study, international-related work experience, volunteer experience, or school work. Please ask for your reference letters to be emailed directly to us at [email protected].
5. Application form, resume/CV, and unofficial PSU transcript must be emailed to [email protected] by the deadline below. Please send all three attachments in one email.
6. Finalists will be invited for an interview in early December.
7. Award recipients will be announced mid-December.
8. Scholarships will be awarded for Winter term.
