The President’s Awards are intended to recognize the high academic achievements of students who have successfully been awarded major scholarships from the Killam doctoral or Tri-agency doctoral competitions.

The award will cover full-time program tuition fees for up to two years, excluding incidental fees.

Eligibility Criteria – President’s Awards For International Students

Applicants must:

  1. be registered as a full-time student
  2. must have completed their undergraduate and Masters degree program
  3. must have good academic records
  4. should hold a full doctoral scholarship from one of these specified funding programs:
    1. NSERC (PGSD, CGSD, Vanier CGS)
    2. SSHRC (Doctoral, CGSD, Vanier CGS)
    3. CIHR (Doctoral, CGSD, Vanier CGS)
    4. Killam (Doctoral)

The award will cover full-time program tuition fees for up to two years, excluding incidental fees.

  2. If you meet the eligibility requirements listed above, you will be automatically considered for one of the President’s Awards.
  3. Candidates selected for an award, will be notified by the Faculty of Graduate Studies and your department following your admission.
  4. The award will be verified and applied to your tuition each term for the duration of the award.
