NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme is now open for application for the current session. The Nigeria LNG was founded as a critical component of education intervention programme for it host communities in 1998 and later opened up to the rest of Nigeria in 2003. NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship 2024

The programme has a total of 2,833 undergraduates from various universities in Nigeria who have benefited from the scholarship scheme with a spend of over N600 million. The introduction of online application and use of social media (Facebook) for information dissemination in 2012 made the selection process more efficient and cost effective, and increased awareness.

Value/Worth of Scholarship For Undergraduate

The value of the scholarship has been reviewed upward from N100, 000 to N300, 000 per awardee for an academic year and it runs throughout the duration of the student’s course.

Eligibility Criteria for NLNG Scholarship Scheme

All application must be completed online and to qualify for consideration, the applicant must:

1. Be a Registered FULL TIME undergraduate in a recognized Nigerian University.
2. Be a certified 100 or 200 level student at the time of application
3. Show proof of SSCE or Equivalent Certificate.
4. Present proof of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) score.
5. Show proof of Admission letter from the University and Matriculation Number.
6. Present proof of A-level or Equivalent Certificate (for direct entry students)

Other Points To Note NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship

1. Students with less than 200 score in UTME need not apply
2. Students with less than 2.50 CGPA of 5-point scale, or equivalent
3. 300 level students and above need not apply
4. Current beneficiaries of similar awards from any other Company or Government Agency need not apply.
5. Parents of applicants must not be a staff of NLNG

Required Documents for NLNG Scholarship Scheme

1. Candidates who meet the above eligibility criteria are expected  to provide the following required personal &  educational details, and upload scanned copies of the following:
2. A recent passport-sized photograph of the applicant in JPEG format, and not more than 200kilobytes;
3. University or JAMB (UTME or D/E) Admission Letter;
4. Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME)Scores;
5. O’ Level Result(s); and ‘A’ Level /OND /NCE Result(s) as applicable; and Letter of Identification from State of origin indicating applicant’s local government of origin.

Application Procedure/Process

1.  Visit the NLNG official website.
2. Click on the CSR menu and select Education.
3. Under Education, click on scholarship.
4. Under NLNG scholarship scheme, Click on NLNG undergraduate scholarship.
5. Complete the required fields and upload the required documents.
6. Click on submit application.
